Nicholas Hebden / RIBA
Founder & Architect
Nick set up Hebden Design Studio in January 2019 as the founding partner. Nick has a wide range of professional experience having worked internationally as well as in the UK. Nick's experience includes high-end residential, commercial, conservation, listed buildings, renovations and large-scale urban master planning. Nick has a keen interest in sustainable and environmental design having designed Passivhaus dwellings. He also taught for 4 years at the University of Portsmouth specialising in environmental design. Nick has a proven track record as a Project Manager, having delivered multiple developments from private houses to large-scale commercial developments.
Outside of work, Nick likes kayaking, swimming and exploring the South Downs with family and friends.
Rachael Hebden / MRTPI
Town Planner
Rachael is a Chartered Town Planner with over 18 years of experience spanning both the public and private sectors. Rachael's experience includes residential and commercial planning in both urban and rural contexts with a focus on high-end residential and large-scale urban planning. Rachael also has a passion for interior design and worked as an interior stylist for Monsoon's homeware division before commencing training as an interior designer.
Rachael has successfully worked on the interiors for several projects including grade II listed buildings.
Outside of work, Rachael likes kayaking, paddle boarding, rowing and exploring the South Downs with family and friends!
Lenina Guerrero / ARB
Architect
Lenina is a qualified Architect in the UK & Italy, living and working in the UK since 2015. After finishing her architectural studies in Venezuela, she moved to Rome where she completed her master’s degree in the History of Architecture and Sustainable Architecture. Her international experience includes large-scale and high-end residential, educational, and ecclesiastical projects (as well as) restoration and contemporary interventions in historic buildings.
She loves spending time outdoors with her family and stargazing in the South Downs.
Carla Feraru / ARB
Architect
Carla is an Architect who joined HDS in 2021. Previously she completed her Part I at The University of Liverpool and consequently gained a wide range of hands-on experience in the residential sector in and around London. She completed her Part II at the University of Strathclyde with a First class degree, in addition to ranking top of her class in the professional studies course. Most recently she registered with the ARB after completing her Part III accreditation at the University of Portsmouth. Her approach to work centres on sustainability and places great value on collaboration and communication within the design team and with clients.
Outside of work, Carla enjoys playing tennis and volunteers with her local community. She is currently improving her French and learning to play the piano.

The architectural design studio is currently seeking a Part 2 and qualified architect who can bring a design-led approach to their work. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and extensive experience in RIBA Stage 4/5. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Photoshop is essential, and experience with 3D visualization software such as Twinmotion, Lumion, or Enscape would be advantageous.
The candidate should also be a team player who can build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors. Efficient time management and the ability to deliver to set deadlines are also essential skills for this position.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate, and remuneration will be dependent upon experience. The design studio is open to considering flexible working hours, and a licensed car owner is preferred, as the studio's projects span across Hampshire, Sussex, Kent, and London.

Bryony Faulkner
Part ll Architectural Assistant
Bryony joined the practice at the beginning of 2022, after completing her Master’s in architecture at University of West England in Bristol. Originally from Hampshire, Bryony knows and loves the area and has a particular interest in renewing existing buildings while maintaining local character. Recently Bryony has undergone training in the sustainable retrofitting of heritage buildings. Bryony has a background in fine arts, including achieving art awards and has experience in designing both new-build homes and extensions.
In her spare time, her creative pursuits include lino printing, clay sculpting, and sketching.

Studio Administrator
Ela joined the practice in 2023 and is responsible for studio administration. She enjoys her role because she likes to be part of a creative, friendly and fun team.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, reading and all aspects of outdoor life including hiking, biking and gardening

Paulius joined our team at Hebden Design Studio in 2021. With a Master's degree from the University of East London, his final thesis focused on developing a construction system that embraces seasonality, sustainability, and ease of construction, creating uplifting architecture. Notably, Paulius received the prestigious RIBA London Student Award 2021 and was shortlisted for the AJ Student Prize 2021: Sustainability award.
Drawing from 7 years of experience as a skilled tradesman in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, Paulius has honed his technical expertise and learned the significance of seamless teamwork among various trades in a project.
Outside of work, Paulius finds joy in activities like kitesurfing, wakeboarding, cycling and playing basketball for the Worthing team.
