About

Old Manor House is a charming grade II* listed building situated south of Chichester. The property dates from 1677 and fronts a picturesque pond that connects to Chichester canal. The works have been split into four phases; the first comprises the careful and thoughtful renovation of the existing dwelling. The second phase which is currently under construction comprises the conversion of the former cart barn along with highly contemporary extensions to provide a frameless glazed link between the house and cart barn with the cart barn providing a new kitchen and the side and rear extension providing a scullery and dining room set in a sunken terrace with a basement under. The terrace is framed by contemporary flint walls. Phase three comprises a large, 6 bay, contemporary newbuild garage featuring a black zinc roof and charred, black cladding. The fourth phase comprises the renovation of the curtilage listed annex, contemporary conversion of the courtyard outbuilding to provide a gym with a natural swimming pool in the courtyard. HDS was appointed from conception through to completion.
